Back then in Sparta, we had a government called a oligarchy.
A oligarchy is when a small group of people have control over a country, institution, or a organization.

Back then in Sparta, men didn't have time to visit their families because they always went to war. But, they would eventually have time to see them after.

Daily life for the young boys in the army was to steal. Sparta allowed boys to steal, but the trick was to not get caught doing it, or else you would have been severely beaten. That was Sparta's lifestyle; lie, cheat, steal, get away from it or get in trouble! Wow!
This is what Sparta was like back then... AWESOME!!! but it had a lot of interest in war. That is my reason because Athens and Sparta were rivals back then and they also fought in the Battle of Thermopylae.
