Rome fell because of these few reasons:
- Public Health- Water was brought in lead pipes, wounds caused viruses and diseases.
- Political Corruption- No one could decide on an emperor and the new one would get assassinated.
- Unemployment- At one time in Rome, they had to feed 100,000 people, grains!
- Inflation- After Marcus Aurelius' reign, there was less gold to make coins with.
- Urban decay- 44,000 apartments in Rome started to smell and stink.
- Inferior Technology- In the last 400 years of the Empire, the Romans could not provide enough goods for the increasing population.
- Military Spending- The Romans got frustrated and lost the desire to defend their empire.
- Invasions (Roads)- Since Rome had a civil war in the 3rd century, it let the Germanic Tribe open to attack the empire.
